Flood: Victims laud Delta, FGs

FLOOD victims in Ozoro camp of Isoko North local government area of Delta State have commended the Federal Government and Delta State government for caring for them. They thanked individuals from states like Lagos, Abuja and others, including Ozoro people, such as Warri, Ughelli and people from other communities.
Pastor Aluya from Ase in Ndokwa East, one of the flood victims, thanked all who cared for them. She thanked Mr. Richard Anugbeni from Emevor, who always visited them to know their state of living.
She commended the effort of the medical department, saying there has been no record of death since their stay in the camp.
Aluya said good Samaritans made them fill at home, even as she commended the security department for making them to live without fear or tension.
According to her, she and other four victims always come out at night to pray for peace in the camp ground, state and federation.
Pastor (Mrs.) Aluya ldogholicila from Enwhe and others of the flood disaster urged government to make provision for them to go back to their communities, saying, “because, in most villages, the flood has dried off.”
Onuje Godswill, 10 years old boy, commended the caterers for the good food they always gave to them, noting, “because, at home, I have not been given such a nice food. Ma, I enjoyed the camp ground.”
Doctor A.S. Emeli, who was posted to the camp ground as the head of the medical department, said there have been records of various kinds of diseases contacted by the people. According to him, they include uncontrollable hypertension, diabetes, malaria, chronic ulcer and so on.
“All these have been taken care of through treatment which was provided by the state government without payment by the victims, he posited.
Dr. Emeli advised victims to always visit the medical department for treatment of any ailment, noting that there is medical solution to their health problems.
